
No Plan To Reinstate Disbanded SARS – IGP
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr Usman Baba, has said that plans have not been made to reinstate the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) into the police force. Information Guide Nigeria

According to PUNCH, Mr Frank Mba said the clarification followed online and offline rumours suggesting that the IGP has ordered the reinstatement of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). Jamb Results
Mr Frank Mba stated, “The Force wishes to emphasise that there is no plan whatsoever to bring back the disbanded SARS. SARS is gone for good and will not resurrect under any guise whatsoever,” he said.
While urging Nigerians to disregard such information, he added that the Nigerian Police had re-organised the operational structure of the squad to replace the vacuum created by the disbandment of SARS.
