NYSC Set To Vaccinate Corps Members
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has moved to vaccinate all Corps members of the 2021 Batch C Stream 1 to prevent them from the COVID-19 pandemic. Information Guide Nigeria
Brig-Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim, the Director-General of the Corps, said this while speaking to members of the Batch C during their swearing-in ceremony.
The address was read by the State Coordinator, Bamai Mercy Dawuda at the Old Macgregor College Afikpo Permanent Orientation Camp, Ebonyi State. THE NATION reports.
According to the DG, the decision to make the vaccines available is in line with the Nigerian government’s instruction that all government workers must be vaccinated on or before 1st of December 2021.

“I, therefore, encourage those of you who are yet to take the vaccine to do so without further delay as the rule may apply to corps members in their places of primary assignment.
“Of greater significance is the fact that the vaccine will keep you safe. We are already in touch with relevant authorities with a view to ensuring that the vaccines are made available to you in the course of this programme”.
