
Obiano Commissions International Airport
Chief Willie Obiano, the Governor of Anambra state on Saturday commissioned the Anambra International Passenger Airport at Umueri. Information Guide Nigeria
Obiano said he is happy to establish the airport after more than 30 years of Anambra’s creation.
The governor also pleaded with Ndi Anambra to support the operations of the airport to make it workable.
“Since the creation of Anambra, previous administrations have tried to build the airport, but we thank God that we were able to achieve the project,” he said. jamb results

He did the commissioning at Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area, said that five airlines have been approved to start work at the airport.
The airlines are; Air Peace Nigeria, United Nigeria Airline, Dana Airline, Ibom Airline, and Anab Jet.
The governor added that Mr Musa Nuhu, the Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) had already handed in the certificate of commercial flights operations.
He emphasised that the approved airlines must have their counters on ground before take-off.
