The 52-year-old carpenter was reportedly killed when the crumbling building collapsed on him while he was attempting to bring it down so that another construction could be built.

A source claims that the deceased, a bricklayer by trade, was working at the time of the tragedy. He was from Ode-Irele in the state’s Irele Local Government Area.

According to the source, the contract had been suspended by the school‘s old head teacher, but after the deceased returned to work and a new headmaster took over, the contract was reinstated.
