Osun, Ibom Angels relegated as NWFL season ends

They led the group with 26 points, one more than second-place Bayelsa Queens, who defeated Naija Ratels 3-0 at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenago.

With 20 points, the Rivers Angels finished third in Group A.

Delta Queens, champions Bayelsa Queens, and Rivers Angels will all compete in the Super Six after finishing first, second, and third in their respective groups.

“The remainder of the abandoned match between Abia Angels and Edo Queens due to the downpour will be continued at the Umuahia Township Stadium by 8am on Thursday, April 20, 2023. The MD14 match was brought to a halt in the 30th minute,” the NWFL stated on Twitter on Wednesday.

Robo Queens’ 4-0 hammering of Confluence Queens moves the Lagos-based team to second place with 22 points, the same points and goals difference as Edo Queens, while Confluence Queens drops to third with 21 points.

Regardless of the outcome of the rescheduled game, Edo Queens, Robo Queens, and Confluence Queens have already secured their spots in the Super Six.
