Peter Obi, Ibezim, Others Pay Respects As Akunyili Is Laid To Rest

Husband of Prof Dora Akunyili, a one time Minister of Information and Director General of National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Dr Chike Akunyili, the murdered husband of Prof Dora Akunyili has been laid to rest at his home town, Agulu, Anaocha LGA of Anambra State. Recall that Dr. Chike Akunyili was killed on 28 September at Nkpor, near Onitsha by unidentified gunmen, while coming back from Onitsha, on his way to Enugu. Information Nigeria Guide

The dignitaries include the former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi and his wife; Margaret, former national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Senator Victor Umeh and his wife; Prisca, Anambra Deputy Governor-elect, Dr Onyekachi Ibezim, and others. jamb results

Children of the late Akunyili also came around to pay their dad the last respect and also showered him with encomiums for being an exemplary father.

There was weeping and wailing as his body was moved from St Charles Borromeo Hospital morgue in Onitsha to his hometown for the final rites before he was finally committed to mother earth.
