Peterside Accuses Governor Wike

The Governor of River State, Nyesom Wike has been accused by the Former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Dakuku Peterside for over flooding in the state. Jamb Results

Peoples Gazette reports that Peterside called on Gov. wike to reactivate the drainage master plan which was introduced by his predecessor the former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi. Information Guides Nigeria

According to Peoples Gazette, While he blame the administration of Governor Wike for its ineptitude and maladministration, he noted that the drainage master plan was abandoned by Governor Wike for political reasons.

Peterside further stated, “But rather, it chose to put the blame on Rivers people who are already suffering from lack of jobs and economic empowerment,” added the former NIMASA DG. “Our people are traumatised, a lot of persons are displaced, we have lost several goods and property estimated at over N3 billion; social and economic life has been disrupted.”
