The weightlifter also broke the clean and jerk record by lifting 110, 115, and 116 kilogrammes in each of her efforts.
Adijat Olarinoye and Umoafia Joseph placed first and third in their respective weightlifting categories, making Lawal’s gold the third medal for Nigeria in the games.
