Thiago Silva’s Football Career and achievement

Thiago Silva, the Brazillian international center-back currently plays for the Premier League side Chelsea FC. He is commonly known for his strong physicality, aerial ability, and leadership skills.Information Guide Nigeria

Thiago Silva signed with the Blues in 2020 on a one-year deal with an option to extend for a year, which was also implemented when Chelsea extended his contract until 2022.

Thiago Silva made the journey to Europe from the streets of Brazil, in 2004 when Portuguese club FC Porto signed him from Juventude. However, things did not work out for the defender, although he played for their reserve team, and he was sent on loan to Dynamo Moscow the following year.

He once again made the move to Brazil to play for Fluminense and enjoyed an exceptional year at the club. He won the Copa De Brasil in 2007 and made a total of 147 appearances for the club, before eventually returning to Europe with Italian club AC Milan in 2009.

The Brazilian enjoyed instant success at the club and went on to win the league title in his second year, and also won the Supercoppa Italiana that year. Identifying the potential Thiago Silva has, Ligue 1 club PSG signed him for a fee rumoured to be around €42 million, which made him the most expensive defender at the time. His time at Paris, was nothing but trophies as PSG went on to dominate French football for the next decade.JAMB Result

In all, he won a total of 23 trophies during his 8 years at the French capital, and a total of 33 in his career.
