
Spurs fan mocked for burning Christian Eriksen shirt as star set for Man Utd move

The Danish midfielder looks set to move to Manchester United this summer after impressing at Brentford during the second half of the campaign. Eriksen played for Spurs for seven years – leaving North London in 2020 for Inter Milan.

And one Spurs fan appears to have taken the news tougher than most as he took to Twitter to set his shirt on fire. The Twitter user had teased setting it ablaze before he posted the full video, adding: “A man of my word”.
But he became a laughing stock online, with both Spurs and United fans mocking him. One user said: “I beg you stop embarrassing our fan base.”
“I’ve seen some cringe stuff on this app but this has to be the worst,” a second added. While a United fan commented: “In our worst ever Premier League season, we still beat Tottenham twice. We are not rivals, stop trying to force it.”
