However, the Chief Security Officer, who spoke to the press in Umuahia alongside two other club employees, claimed that they had been asked to stop working, despite the state government’s claim that no one had been fired.

He bemoaned that the dedicated staff who had been laid off had not been paid for about four months, but noted that other Enyimba employees had recently received their salaries.

He also claimed that the sporting director has plans to fire more Enyimba employees and replace them with people who are not even Abians.JAMB Portal

He named Enyimba employees who were allegedly relieved of duty, including Agwu Ogbonnaya, the Chief Security Officer, Mr Maduka Anyaso, Uche Ezekiel, Felix Etu, Monday Agu, Onyeukwu Victor Obike, a cameraman, and three others.NYSC Portal

According to him, the directive to fire them was allegedly given by Ndubuisi Ofoma on behalf of the sporting director.

Ekwueme however, disclosed that the Chief Security Officer, Ogbonnaya Agwu, allegedly exhibited negligence of duty recently at the club by not providing enough security in the club as expected of his responsibility, which made the Team Manager tell him to step aside from duty for now.JAMB Result
