Suspected Bandits Abduct 5 WAEC Students In Zamfara

According to AIT, five students have reportedly been kidnapped immediately after writing their West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Mathematics examination in Birnin Yero in Zamfara State. Jamb Results

According to eyewitnesses, three males and two females have been abducted in a fresh attack on Shinkafi, Zamfara State. Information Guide Nigeria

Speaking with AIT news, a resident of the area, Mamman Bashar said the students were abducted between Jangeru and Birnin Yero by gunmen and were on their way to Birnin Yero in Shinkafi, their hometown.

While he stated that the abductors have been targeting students of schools in Shinkafi, a source who pleaded anonymity said that the Zamfara State Security Adviser has informed about the situation including the names of the students that have been abducted.

AIT reports that due to the suspension of all mobile telecommunications networks in Zamfara State, they were unable to reach the spokesman of the Zamfara State Police Command, Mohammed Shehu.
