Shehu Sani, erstwhile Senator representing Kaduna Central, on Monday morning, said the shutdown of telecommunication services by the Federal Government in six North-West states is “useless”.

Sani, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member frowned at the insecurity challenge in the northern region of the country which according to him is not improving. Information Guide Nigeria

He said the senseless attacks were “tragic and unfortunate”.

The rise in banditry and abductions brought about the telecom shutdown which the Nigerian Government says is to enable the military and other security personnel to fight terrorism. jamb results

Recall that the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) had in September instructed all telecommunication companies, including Globacom, MTN, Airtel, and Ntel to shut down their services.

According to POLITICS NIGERIA, in Sani’s words: “The yesterday’s attacks on the Baptist Church Kakau Daji, Kaduna state by terrorists, the killing of some worshippers and the abductions of scores of others is tragic and unfortunate. The suspension of the telecom services in the North is useless.”
