Allow Kanu Face Trial – Arewa Forum To Igbo Leaders
Mr Anthony Sani, a member of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), has asked Igbo elders to allow Nnamdi Kanu face the law in his quest to attain freedom and not go begging for his unconditional release. DAILY POST reports.

Sani added that in trying Kanu, Nigerians would know if secession is an offence against the government or not, adding that to release Mr Kanu unconditionally without testing the legal system, may not serve the country’s democracy any good. Information Guide Nigeria
He said if after going through the due processes of law and Kanu is found guilty, the government is at liberty to release him unconditionally either on compassionate grounds or for political expediency, assuring that the approach may serve a greater good.
The elder statesman expatiated that if he Nnamdi Kanu is released now unconditionally as being pleaded by the Igbo leaders, it may connote that Danegeld’s theory of rewarding bad behaviour is being encouraged by both the Igbo leaders and the Federal Government.
He said he is of the opinion that Kanu go through all the processes before any release, emphasising that if the due processes do not find him guilty and set him free of the charges, it would still be good for the democracy.
