The Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Federal Capital Territory Wing, has directed primary school teachers in the territory to resume their strike on January 15. The decision was made during an emergency meeting of the State Wing Standing Committee (SWSC) held in Abuja.informationguidenigeria

The primary school teachers had initially embarked on an indefinite strike in September the previous year due to various issues, including the non-implementation of a 40 percent Peculiar Allowance and payment of 25 months minimum wage arrears. The strike was suspended for six weeks to allow for issue resolution, but the teachers are now dissatisfied with the lack of progress.JAMB Portal
