The defendants face two counts of charges: conspiracy and attempted murder. According to the prosecutor, Inspector Sikiru Opaleye, the defendants, along with others who are currently at large, allegedly conspired to commit the crime on December 10. Opaleye detailed that between the hours of 8:00 am and 12:30 pm, at the Ilajue area of Ogbomoso, the defendants attempted to murder Mr. Raimi by shooting him in the leg with a gun.
“The defendants mounted a road block while the complainant was returning from farm on a motorcycle.
“On sighting the road block, the complainant made an attempt to turn back and flee, but was shot by the defendants on the leg,” he said.
