Ondo Governor In Tears As He Visits Scene Of Owo Church Attack

It was an emotional moment for governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredulu as he could not hold back tears when he paid a visit to the scene of the attack on a church in Owo LGA of the state. THE CABLE reports.

St Francis Catholic Church in Owo was attacked by gunmen during service where many church members, including children and women, were killed.

The governor visited the church alongside heads of security agencies, and described the incident as “vile and satanic”, calling it a “calculated assault” on the people of Owo.

“It is a black Sunday in Owo. Our hearts are heavy. Our peace and tranquility have been attacked by the enemies of the people. This is a personal loss, an attack on our dear state,” Akeredolu said. Information Guide Nigeria
