Osinbajo Leaves Abuja For ECOWAS Summit

Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President of Nigeria has left Abuja for Accra, Ghana, to deputize Nigeria at an Extraordinary Summit of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government. THE WILL reports.

Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, revealed this in a statement on Thursday, said Osinbajo will be representing Nigeria as the West African regional body will be deliberating on the political situation in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Guinea.

According to THE WILL, the meeting, which is coming as part of the resolutions reached at last week’s virtual meeting, chaired by Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo, will review the report of the ECOWAS delegation dispatched to Quagadougou, to meet with the military junta who recently seized power in Burkina Faso.
