Court Hears Suit To Sack Tonto Dikeh, Tonte Ibraye As ADC Candidates
The Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has commenced hearing of a suit to disqualify the Rivers State governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mr Tonte Ibraye and his deputy Tonto Dikeh.Information Guide Nigeria
Recall that the flag bearer of the party recently made a choice of Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh as his running mate and this hit the media space with frenzy.

As reported by INDEPENDENT, in the originating summons filed against the ADC, Mr. Ibraye and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the applicant, Dr. Wright Promise Warmate is seeking the disqualification of Mr. Ibraye for non-compliance with the party’s guidelines for the governorship primary by failing to meet the party’s deadline in payment for his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.Jamb Result
Dr. Warmate who is a former Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, is thus praying for his declaration as the lawful governorship candidate of the party.
He noted that he is the only aspirant that met the party’s deadline and conditions.
According to INDEPENDENT, the matter has been adjourned to July 28, 2022, for an accelerated hearing.
