Kaduna Governor Asks Local Governments To Contribute N10million Each For Security During Buhari’s Visit
The Nasir El-Rufai-led Kaduna State Government mandated all Local Government Areas in the state to provide the sum of N10million to cater to the security and logistics for the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the state, SaharaReporters reports.

In a letter obtained by SaharaReporters on Thursday, dated January 19, 2022, addressed to local government chairmen in the state, the notice from the state government was signed by the Director Inspectorate on behalf of Commissioner of Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Iliyasu Hussaini. In the letter titled, “Approval to Provide Security Towards The President’s Visit” Hussaini said, “I am directed to convey approval for the following local government to incur expenditure to cater for additional security support to security agencies and logistics preparatory to the visit of the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Kaduna State for commissioning of projects”. jamb results
“You are requested to ensure strict compliance with budgetary provisions, financial rules and regulations on the expenditures.”
The local governments in Kaduna State as contained in the letter are; Jema’a , Kaura, Zango Kataf , Chikun , Kaduna South and Igabi. Others are; Zaria, Sabon Gari, Giwa and Soba.
The President on Thursday arrived in Kaduna for a two-day official visit and was received by the Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
The President is expected to commission projects executed by the Governor in Kaduna, Zaria, and Kafanchan.
