The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun the collation of results for the highly anticipated Kogi State governorship election. In Ogori-Magongo LGA’s Osebande ward, out of 665 accredited voters, the results stand as follows: APC leading with 362 votes, followed by SDP with 195, and PDP trailing with 86. Other parties like ADC, LP, and NRM received 11, 1, and 2 votes respectively. Kingsley Ogunnimilo, the Returning Officer of the local government, noted that elections were held in only one out of the 11 wards due to unspecified reasons.

Moving to Idah LGA, the turnout was significantly higher, with 23,044 voters accredited. Here, SDP took a substantial lead with 20,059 votes, while APC and PDP secured 2,033 and 271 votes, respectively. Minor parties like ADC, LP, and NRM also made their presence felt with modest vote counts.
