Functions of NDLEA

The following are the responsibilities the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency are tasked with:

  1. The extirpation of all illegal trafficking of psychotropic substances and narcotic drugs using all the resources available at its disposal.
  2. Recovery of all ill-gotten wealth acquired by drug dealers and other individuals through illegal drug trading.
  3. Defending, and strengthening the image of Nigeria and the Nigerian people globally.
  4. They can make arrests when necessary and will hand over the apprehended drugs dealers to the police.Npower Recruitment

What is the NDLEA Salary Structure?

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Salary structure is based on the grade level of the staff members and job roles within the agency.JAMB Form

NDLEA is a Paramilitary organisation, therefore their salary structure is determined by the Consolidated Paramilitary Salary Structure (CONPASS).

The salary structure for staff is not only dependent on the grade level but also on steps which differentiate officers of the same level.

HND holders are usually placed on Grade level 7, while degree holders are placed on Grade level 8.

NDLEA Graduates who are placed on Grade level 8 can earn up to N888,956 per annum, which is about N74,000 per month.

Graduates on grade level 8 step 2 will earn about N900,071 per annum. This figure amounts to N75,000 per month.

HND holders on grade level 7 step 1 can earn up to an N483,353 per month.

Breakdown of the NDLEA Salary Scale

The total salary scale for NDLEA staff is analysed below:

  1. Level 8 step 1 = CONPASS + Rent Allowance
  • ₦888,956 + ₦115,849 = ₦1,004,805 (total annual salary). i.e. ₦83,733 (monthly)
  1. Level 7 step 1 = CONPASS + Rent AllowanceJAMB Result
  • ₦483,014 + ₦92,273.9 = ₦ 573,287 (total annual salary). I.e. ₦44,773 (monthly)
