Presidential Election: Adamu decries loss of Kano to NNPP, blames selfishness

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, has lamented the outcome of the March 18 governorship election in Kano State, saying his party is still nursing the pain of losing the state to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). THE GUARDIAN reports. Information Guide Nigeria

In an interview with BBC Hausa, monitored in Kaduna, yesterday, Adamu said: “It is a very painful experience for us to lose a big state like Kano.”

“Although we could not coast to victory in Kano, we thank God for the victory we recorded in other states. In the inconclusive elections in Adamawa and Kebbi states, be assured we are going to win, by the grace of God. The celebration will be ours,” he added.
