Griffin senior had been head groundsman since 2003, and Reisse was part of a team of ten staff members that he led in caring for the pitch at Stamford Bridge.
Reisse was the club’s assistant grounds manager, but both have since left their positions, according to the Daily Mail.
In addition to Chelsea’s home ground, the Griffins worked on pitches at the club’s Cobham training complex and Kingsmeadow, which hosts the club’s women’s and youth teams.
During Griffin’s tenure as team leader, Chelsea’s ground staff has received praise and industry recognition.
While the club has told the Daily Mail that it will not comment on personnel matters, it is understood that the departures of the Grffins are part of a larger staff shake-up that has been going on since Boehly’s takeover last summer.NYSC Portal
