UN Humanitarian Coordinator frowns at the attack in schools

The United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Nigeria, Mr. Edward Kallon has frowned at the frequent attacks on schools abduction of school children.

Saying this on the 2021 International Day to Protect Education from Attack, he restated that 1.3 million children have been affected by the kidnappings from schools in Nigeria.

He solicits the Federal Government to step up by implementing safe schools under the UN declaration and fully put into practice the promises made in 2019 to take decisive action in protecting education from attack and giving “this great nation’s children the chance to fulfil their promise.” Information Guides Nigeria
