Step-by-Step Application Process

1. Accessing the Portal

Begin your application journey by visiting the NBTE HND admissions portal at https://hnd.nbte.gov.ng/. This portal serves as your gateway to a multitude of HND programmes across various institutions.

2. Registration

  • Click on “Register as a student” on the portal’s homepage.
  • Complete the registration form with your details and click on register to proceed.

3. Uploading Required Documents

After registration, you’ll need to upload the following essential documents:

  • A profile photo.
  • A valid National ID (This can be your National Identity Number (NIN), Voter’s Card, International Passport, or Driver’s License).
  • Your National Diploma (ND) Statement of Result and Graduation Certificate.

These documents are crucial for verifying your identity and academic qualifications.

4. Submitting Your Application

  • Navigate to the “applications” tab and select “new application”.
  • Choose your course of interest; the portal will display available institutions offering the selected programme.
  • After selecting your preferred polytechnic, click on “Apply” to proceed to the payment of the application fee.

5. Payment of Application Fee

  • The application fee is set at Five Thousand (₦5,000.00) Naira only.
  • To pay, go to “my applications” under the “applications” tab, select the application, and click the pay form fee button.
  • Choose a convenient payment option to complete the transaction.

6. Receiving Your Offer of Admission

  • Once your application is reviewed and accepted by the chosen polytechnic, an offer of admission will be issued to you via the NBTE portal.
  • Download and print this offer letter and follow the subsequent registration processes as directed by the institution.
