Since mid-January, when he came on for the final 20 minutes of a 2-0 victory over Leicester, O’Brien has not played for Forest. He has spent several weeks in limbo. In January, the club authorized a loan transfer to Blackburn for the remainder of the season, but Rovers provided the incorrect documentation, which thwarted the transfer.
Forest had used all 25 of their Premier League roster spots for the remainder of the season, thus a move to the MLS is ideal for him to gain playing time. Rooney is ecstatic about O’Brien’s arrival and feels he will enhance the quality of his DC United team.JAMB Result
