We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Business Development Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential and financials; evaluating options, resolving internal priorities and recommending equity investments.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations, examining risks and potentials, estimating partner’s needs and goals.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Acts as a Secretary and writes Proposals to be approved by the GMD.
  • Any other function(s) that may be assigned by the GMD.

Educational Qualifications

  • First Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or any Social sciences.
  • A Master’s Degree or an MBA will be added advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years post graduate cognate experience.
  • Demonstrate understanding and application of complex sales techniques and track record creating, negotiating and closing multi-million large scale deals.
  • Background in Engineering is an added advantage.

Technical:

  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
  • Ability to build rapport
  • A great desire for continuous research
  • Customer focused
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

2.) Account Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The main purpose of an account officer is to analyse financial activities
  • Collect invoices/bills and make payments ensuring the prevailing financial rules and regulations of Practical Action
  • Prepare bank drafts and arrange for fund transfers against the payment of instalments to partners and other service providers as necessary
  • Calculate tax and other deductions to deduct from source while making payment
  • Process the travel and other expenditure claims complying the policies and procedures
  • Make salary payment on time and provide salary transfer notice staff members
  • Handle petty cash
  • Enter financial data into computerized accounting system and run reports
  • Provide accounting services to the concerned, especially the status of budget and expenditure
  • Keep Practical and informed of changes to accounting system/ structure/ procedures through training/presentation
  • Keep financial documents and records to meet the Group and subsidiaries requirements
  • Keep liaison with the bank and other government institutions in Finance functions
  • Maintain filing of Finance area
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by the Group Accountant and CFO

Qualifications

  • First Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or any Social Sciences.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant post-graduation experience.
  • Membership or Student member of Account professional body (ICAN, ACCA etc)

Technical:

  • Proven experience as an Account Officer
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Being adaptable and self-driven
  • Problem Solving/Analysis

Non-Technical:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
  • Applicants should reside on the Island for proximity and cost.

Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 Monthly.

3.) Branch Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Manage and meet or exceed targets relating to revenue growth, activities, profit margin, sales and customer acquisition
  • Develop new business opportunities with potential customers at all stages of the sales cycle to include targeting, prospecting and presenting compelling business propositions.

  • Keep a database of existing and prospective client in the region.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan and conduct market survey that will evolve market saturation, market development and product awareness developing a customer base that will guarantee continuity in business and mitigate competitors. that meets or exceeds established sales goals and supports company revenue and profitability target
  • Any other function(s) that may be assigned by the General Manager or GMD

Educational Qualifications

  • First Degree in Marketing or Social Sciences related courses from a recognized University. A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 6 years post graduate cognate experience, 2 years out of which must be in a managerial position.
  • Demonstrate understanding and application of complex sales techniques and track record creating, negotiating and closing multi-million large scale deals.

Technical:

  • Good general computer literacy with a good knowledge of the Windows environment and its applications.
  • Creative talents and ability to solve tough problems
  • In depth knowledge of the industry and its current events
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrate effectiveness in prospecting and developing new business.

Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 monthly.
