What Thomas Tuchel told Kalidou Koulibaly as Chelsea prepare £60m Jules Kounde bid

Thomas Tuchel has welcomed Kalidou Koulibaly into his Chelsea squad after the Senegalese defender completed his transfer to Stamford Bridge earlier this week.

He was also seen chatting with Tuchel, and the boss revealed his initial message to Koulibaly. This comes amidst a series of departures from the Chelsea squad for Billy Gilmour, Armando Broja, and Harvey Vale. Gilmour and Vale will join up with the Blues’ development team whilst Broja travels back to London, though there is a grey area as to the real reason for his journey back.

According to football.london report, Tuchel gave the 31-year-old a special greeting.
“Welcome on the pitch officially, Kalidou,” the German said. “I’m so happy that you’re here. Everybody is happy that you are here. Enjoy your first training session.”
