Just over nine years have passed since Marouane Fellaini joined Manchester United as the club’s first acquisition under David Moyes, and to say the least, the big Belgian’s life has been eventful ever since.

Following Fellaini’s transfer from Standard Liege to Everton, Moyes witnessed firsthand the kind of impact the player could have. However, despite being a huge fan favorite in Merseyside, the afro-haired maestro’s entrance in Manchester was not well received.
Just a few months later, Moyes was sacked from his role at the club. And just to compound a rotten year for Fellaini, he had the ignominy of being named as one of the worst Premier League signings of the season by The Telegraph.
Ultimately, he left Old Trafford with a record of 22 goals in 177 appearances, as well as FA Cup, League Cup, and Europa League victories. This is a commendable performance for a player who was seen as unwanted but managed to elbow his way into the plans of numerous different managers.
While other well-known figures were not content to remain in China for very long, Fellaini is still listed on the books at Shandong Taishan more than three and a half years after his arrival.
