World AIDS Day: 35,000 HIV/AIDS Patients Presently Receiving Treatment In Kano – Tsanyawa

The Kano state government has activated over 600 secondary and primary Healthcare facilities across 484 wards for the provision of HIV testing services to curb the spread of HIV/AIDS in the state.

Aminu Tsanyawa, Kano Commissioner of Health, said this while briefing newsmen in Kano as part of activities to commemorate the 2021 world AIDS day. THE PUNCH reports.

According to Tsanyawa,  the present government was dedicated to saving the lives of women and children through the provision of essential health services both at the primary and secondary levels.

Tsanyawa revealed that over 35,000 people living with HIV/AIDS in the state are presently receiving treatment in 43 centres in the state. Information Guide Nigeria

Tsanyawa added that Hafsat Ganduje, the first lady of Kano state would kick off the different activities outlined to mark this year’s World AIDS Day on 2nd December 2021.
