Mikel Arteta confirms William Saliba is still out for ‘the next few weeks

According to the recent report from dailymail, Mikel Arteta has confirmed that William Saliba will miss Sunday’s trip to West Ham and faces a battle to be fit for their crunch title clash with Manchester City this month.

Sportsmail reported earlier this week that the defender was a doubt this weekend’s game at the London Stadium as he continues to recover from a back problem. On Friday, Arteta confirmed the Frenchman, 22, has still yet to resume training on the grass, 12 days out from their visit to the Etihad on April 26.Information Guide Nigeria

Saliba started all of Arsenal’s Premier League games this season before suffering the injury in their Europa League defeat by Sporting last month. He has since missed their last three matches, with Rob Holding stepping in to partner Gabriel at the heart of Mikel Arteta’s back four.NYSC Portal

The nature of back injuries mean Arsenal have been reluctant to put a definitive timeline on his return.

Striker Eddie Nketiah is, however, fit to return to the squad after recovering from an ankle problem. The striker has not played since March 1 but Arteta said: ‘Eddie is back. He’s fully fit now and he’s back.’JAMB Result
