The chiefs of the monarch reportedly paid a visit to Dr. Elizabeth Opeoluwa Akinmuda’s household in Lagos’ Magodo neighbourhood.
Tuesday, September 6, 2022, saw the Ooni wed Mariam Anako, his fourth wife.
She was then escorted into the palace’s inner court, where her husband and other guests were waiting to greet her.

The Ooni will be marrying for the fourth time.
Recall that in December 2021, Naomi Silekunola, the famous monarch’s former (third) wife, said their union was over.
About three years ago, the ex-queen and the Ooni of Ife were wed, and they now have a son.
Adebukola Bombata, the Ooni of Ife’s officially recognised first wife, was one of the ladies Ooni has been married to.
When he took the throne in 2015, she was already his wife.
According to rumours, Bombata opposed the Ooni’s choice to participate in the throne-seeking process.
It didn’t take long for rumours about the marriage’s problems to start circulating. Obanor requested a divorce from the king in 2017. That following year, the divorce was finally finalised. If they had children together is unknown.
