A pastor from the Church of Christ in Nations named Rev. Bung Fon Dong has been abducted by gunmen who stormed the Ganawuri hamlet in the Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.Information Guide Nigeria
According to the locals, the gunmen broke into the neighbourhood on Sunday night and began firing intermittently for several hours.
A local of Ganawuri who went by the name of Samuel spoke about the incident on Monday. He claimed that the gunmen forced their way into the cleric’s official apartment and took off with him while his wife, who was attempting to save him, was shot in the leg.

Samuel said “It was around 8:30 pm on Sunday that the gunmen who came in motorcycles arrived in the community. Residents who were alerted by their gunshots ran helter skelter but they forced themselves into the official residence of Rev Dong and abducted him. His wife who tried to rescue him was shot in the leg and was later taken to the hospital.”
Samuel who condemned the attack on the community added, “Almost at the same time, another set of gunmen also invaded the house of a Principal of Government Secondary School Bum in the same Ganawuri community.
