‘We don’t DISRESPECT the legend like that!’: Kylian Mbappe hits out at French Football Federation president Noel Le Graet

Kylian Mbappe defended Zinedine Zidane on social media after the president of the French Football Federation stated he would not have answered the phone if the French great had called to inquire about the national team job.Information Guide Nigeria

Noel Le Graet, the president of the French Football Federation, stated that he did not care which management position Zinedine Zidane would accept next. He also stated that he did not believe Zidane was ever a candidate to lead Les Bleus and that he would not have answered his phone call.

The former Real Madrid manager, widely considered one of the greatest footballers of all time, reportedly turned down an offer from the United States and was linked to the French post before Didier Deschamps extended his contract until 2026.

The FFF president refuted the notion that the three-time Champions League manager was in the race to replace Deschamps, claiming that there was no indication that the incumbent manager will be replaced.

But his comments sparked fury from PSG star Kylian Mbappe, who wrote: ‘Zidane is France, we don’t disrespect the legend like that,’ wrote the French star forward on Twitter.

Deschamps has guided the national team to consecutive World Cup finals, winning in 2018, as well as the final of Euro 2016 in his own country, but after losing to Argentina in December, there were rumours he would step down.JAMB Result

Possibly for this reason, Mbappe intervened and admonished Le Graet from exhibiting ‘disrespect’ to the former World Cup-winning captain.

La Graet continued: ‘I don’t care, he can go where he wants. He can go where he wants, in a club or a national team, I hardly believe it as far as he is concerned.

‘Zidane was always under the radar. He had a lot of followers; some were waiting for Deschamps to leave. But who can seriously criticise Deschamps? No one can.Jamb Portal

‘I have never seen Zidane, we’ve never thought of separating ourselves from Didier Deschamps.’
