EFCC reveals new vote-buying method for 2023 elections

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) claimed that some politicians are planning to manipulate the upcoming polls. RipplesNigeria reports.Information Guide Nigeria

Abdulrasheed Bawa, the EFCC Chairman disclosed on Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television’s The 2023 Verdict.

This came as Nigerians languish in pain due to the scarcity of the new naira notes.

Bawa revealed that corrupt politicians have come up with a new method of vote buying, by using items to give voters instead of cash.NYSC portal

“We have intel that a lot of people have bought some items that they want [to use] to buy votes in kind, not in cash. Some of these things are out there,” Bawa stated.

“Politicians are also Nigerians. We too have a way of doing our own things. We have our own experiences in this as well.
