 Peter Obi discloses next action over INEC’s refusal to obey court order

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, has revealed the party and Obidients’ next line of action if the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, fails to grant them permission to inspect the sensitive materials used in the conduct of the February 25, 2023, presidential and National Assembly elections. Obi, who appeared on Arise TV on Monday, said INEC must obey court orders and allow the LP to inspect the materials.

“They have declared somebody as the winner, and we must get access to the process. We’ll protest at the INEC office, and we’ll also go back to the court because we have a situation that we cannot even mention,” he said.

“INEC is an institution backed by the law but they’re not obeying it. How do we start building a nation? The most important ingredient of what makes a nation is the rule of law.”JAMB Result
