Charles Oputa, aka Charly Boy, has undergone surgery in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos State, to treat cancer.
THE WILL reports that he spoke about his recovery in an interview with Saturday Vanguard.

THE WILL reports that he said, “When I broke the news that I was managing prostate cancer, I stated that I won’t go down without a fight, I, hereby reiterate that statement.
“I urge men to share their medical conditions with friends and family so as not to die in silence.
“A problem shared is half solved. It is for this reason that I am discussing my health matters publicly so that my fellow men will learn from my experience. My doctor is very happy with my progress so far during and after the surgery.”
