The Types of Visa You can Obtain

There are two categories of visas available for processing when applying for an Ireland visa in Nigeria.

The first category is the short-term visa, which includes a tourist visa allowing the holder to stay for a maximum of 90 days, as well as visiting visas for spouses/partners or children of European Union nationals. Additionally, there are business visas, conference visas, exam/interview visas, and cultural events/performance visas available in this category.

How to Apply for Ireland Visa in Nigeria

To begin the process of applying for an Ireland visa in Nigeria, the first step is to download the visa application form online. You must carefully fill in your details online and then print out the hard copy. Remember to sign and date the form and take note of your 8 digit visa reference number.NYSC Portal

After that, you need to attach several documents to support your application. These include your international passport with at least 6 months validity and unused visa pages, two recently acquired passport-sized photographs with white background, and photocopies of full pages of your passport (pages 1-32).

You also need to provide travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 covering the whole Schengen area, basic traveling allowance sufficient to cover your entire stay in Ireland, and your bank account statement for the last 6 months duly endorsed by the bank. Additionally, you will need to provide a police clearance certificate, evidence of hotel reservation or private accommodation, photocopies of all previous visas in your passport, and proof of flight booking.JAMB Portal

  • Pay the non-refundable visa processing fee, which is equivalent to €60 in local currency, and biometric charges (amount unknown) at the designated bank located at the Visa Application Centre.
  • Complete biometric fingerprinting at the VAC.
  • Bring the exact amount of money because change may not be given at the VAC.
  • Ensure that all required documents are completed and authentic.
  • Submit all documents in duplicate.
  • Note that visa interviews are mandatory for some applicants.
  • Date and sign your visa application form.
