Local Security operatives of the Plateau State University (PLASU), have foiled attempts by suspected kidnappers to abduct students in the institution. THE WILL reports.Information Guide Nigeria
Public Relations Officer of the institution, John Agams, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday, said gunmen invaded its female hostel between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Agams said the criminals attacked the institution to kidnap students, but were repelled by the local security men in the university.NYSC Portal
“It is true that gunmen attempted to kidnap some of our students, but our local security men repelled the attempt.
“In the process, one student was injured, but no student was abducted.
“The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Benard Matur, is currently at the school premises and appealing to students to be peaceful”, he said.JAMB Result
