Who likes haters? I know I don’t.

I mean, I put in all the work to find content ideas. I put in the time to come up with the very best content and tag it correctly. I buy instagram views for $1. I put up descriptions and captions, and after all this effort, all these critics come in. They say that the content sucks, or the pictures are off – I can go on and on.

While comment trolls can throw you off your game, please understand that they can be a blessing.

Now, you may be thinking to yourself, “This is crazy. How can somebody who seems to have it in for me and who seems so negative be a blessing or be a positive force?” After all, these are types of people who are very likely to block you on IG.

Well, please understand that when it comes to Instagram marketing, any publicity is good publicity. Seriously. Why? Even trolls have a positive effect.

Now, you may be thinking to yourself that this is crazy because you have been the victim of trolls before and there’s nothing positive that you can think of. They cut to the bone, they hurt your feelings, they are very dismissive, and they even make you doubt whether what you’re doing is worth it. How can they possibly be positive?

Well, here’s the thing. When somebody hates you, they really don’t have any incentive to lie to you. Now, compare this situation with your friends.

If you’re with your friends and you ask them, “Hey, check this out. Do you think what I’m doing is okay?” or “Do think I did this right?” Well, if you think about it, if they’re really your friends, they probably don’t want to hurt your feelings.

They probably would then come up with such a fancy or flowery way to tell you, in so many words, that your stuff sucks or is below par. But the problem is, people beat around the bush so much that, oftentimes, the feedback that they give seems the precise opposite of what they’re trying to say.

And let’s face it, Instagram marketing is so competitive and so rough that you really don’t have the time to screw around with any of that. You’d rather deal with people who will tell it to your face straight. And believe me, when it comes to raw, unfiltered, uncut feedback, nobody could do a better job than trolls.

Now, here’s the problem. A lot of trolls just want to spew negativity and hatred. That’s just what they want to do. So, you have to filter the stuff that they are saying to figure out truthful assessments of your content.

If you’re able to do that and are able to set your feelings aside, you can benefit tremendously from the raw, uncut and completely honest and sincere feedback your critics will give you.

I know it takes quite a bit of doing. It definitely is acquired taste. But believe me, trolls can give you a leg up if you know how to handle their negative feedback. They may not be the superstar IG influencers you’d rather have mention you but they can still be helpful.
