Police arrest 55 for kidnapping, armed robbery in Jigawa

The police in Jigawa State have made significant arrests, apprehending more than 55 suspected criminals involved in activities such as kidnapping and armed robbery.

This announcement was made by the Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Abdullahi, during a briefing to the press, highlighting the achievements of the police command in the first 10 days since he assumed office.informationguidenigeria

The suspects taken into custody include 25 individuals suspected of theft and vandalism, three suspected kidnappers, 10 suspected armed robbers, and two suspected human traffickers.JAMB Result

Additionally, there are 10 suspects linked to motor vehicle and motorcycle theft, as well as three suspects involved in mobile phone theft.JAMB Portal

The police have also successfully recovered several items, including three locally-made firearms, four motor vehicles, six motorcycles, N3,650,000 in cash, and nine Android phones.

Other seized items include 32 cows, five sheep, vandalized armored cables and wires, various agricultural produce, suspected Indian hemp, and Exol tablets.NYSC Portal

According to Commissioner Abdullahi, the suspects will undergo further investigation and be taken to court for prosecution once the inquiries are concluded.
