Fisayo Soyombo Essay Competition 2024. Submission of entries has begun for the Fisayo Essay Competition. the topic for this year’s contest is “BLESSED YET IMPOVERISHED: HOW CAN NIGERIA SOLVE ITS CORRUPTION ISSUES” Students and persons with creative ability, powerful poetic expressions, and the ability to proffer useful suggestions on the said topic should hurry and put up their entries for consideration. The Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan, is pleased to announce the commencement of the 6th edition of the annual ‘FISAYO SOYOMBO ESSAY COMPETITION.’
Objective:
This competition, now in its 6th year, invites solution-focused essays addressing issues of national significance. It is open to all undergraduate students in Nigerian universities.
Essay Topic for 2024:
“BLESSED YET IMPOVERISHED: HOW CAN NIGERIA SOLVE ITS CORRUPTION ISSUES?”
Requirements:
– Word Count: 1500-2000 words
– Format: Times New Roman, Font Size 12, 1.5 Line Spacing.
Prizes:
1. First Place: N250,000
2. Second Place: N150,000
3. Third Place: N100,000
Submission Procedure:
Interested participants should submit their entries via email to ucjunibadan@gmail.com, including the essay and a copy of their school ID in separate PDF files. The subject of the email should be “FISAYO SOYOMBO ESSAY CONTEST.”
