Kefas Mallai, the Chairman of Community Peace Observers in the Bokkos Local Government Area, reported a staggering loss of over 150 lives due to these attacks. In Bokkos alone, the crisis has forced more than 10,000 people to seek refuge in churches, mosques, schools, and private residences.InformationGuideNigeria

While there has been some variance in the reported death tolls — with the Plateau State Government citing about 115 fatalities and the police reporting 96 — the exact number remains uncertain due to the challenges in obtaining eyewitness verification. Nonetheless, the scale of the tragedy is undeniably massive, and Musa’s outreach reflects a sense of national solidarity and concern for the victims and their communities.

Reacting to the gory incident, Musa, who is poised for his fourth African Cup of Nations appearance in Ivory Coast, wrote, “I am standing against the violence in Plateau State,” Musa wrote on X with an emoji of a broken heart.NYSC Portal
