Kogi council boss seeks Hausa-Fulani community’s support to end kidnapping, armed robbery

Hon. Haruna Ibrahim, the Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, has called upon the Hausa-Fulani community residing in Zango, Iyara, to provide maximum support to the government’s efforts in combating cattle rustling, banditry, kidnapping, and armed robbery.informationguidenigeria

During his visit to the Hausa-Fulani community in Zango, which falls under Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, the Council Chairman urged residents to report any unfamiliar individuals involved in criminal activities. He emphasized that the present administration is determined to make life difficult for those responsible for causing havoc in the State.

Ibrahim also stressed the importance of the Hausa-Fulani community’s leadership taking action to clear their name, as they are often associated with various crimes in the region.

“Every time there is a kidnapping, the incident is mostly blamed on the Fulani. That is why I deemed it necessary to come here and speak to Fulani leaders about the need to ensure strangers do not come into our local government to perpetrate criminal activities,” the Chairman said.NYSC Portal

He commended the efforts of the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for improving the security architecture of the state down to the local government areas.
