Again, it will be pertinent to note that Nigeria are now only two matches away from lifting the AFCON trophy, first needing to beat South Africa in their semi-final match on Wednesday evening before possibly facing either Ivory Coast or the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the final on February 11.JAMB Result

As reported by The Athletic, the reason why Nigeria may  not pass Bafana-Bafana in the semi-final is because the team hitman Victor Osimhen did not travel with his Nigeria teammates to the city of Bouake, instead staying in Abidjan after suffering ‘abdominal discomfort’. He is being closely examined by Nigeria’s medical staff but is now at risk of missing out on the semi-final against South Africa.

The last time the Super Eagles met Bafana Bafana came in the AFCON quarterfinals in 2019, where Nigeria edged out a 2-1 win.
