APC welcomes 2,950 PDP, APGA, YPP executive members, supporters in Abia

The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has welcomed 2,950 executive members and supporters from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; Young Progressive Party, YPP; and All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA; to its fold in the Ohafia Local Government Area of the state, DAILY POST reports.

Others are members of the African Democratic Congress, ADC; Action Peoples Party, APP; and Alliance for Democracy, AD.

The members drawn from all local electoral wards in Ohafia were led into the APC by Hon Ikenna Ukwa.

Speaking during a well-attended declaration ceremony held in Isiama Ohafia at the weekend, Ukwa said leaving their various political parties to join APC was a wise decision, explaining that they joined the progressive party to contribute their quotas in the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s government in the country.JAMB Result

While earlier welcoming the new members on behalf of the Abia APC executive committee, the State publicity secretary of the party, Chief Offor Okorie, thanked the leader of the defectors for bringing a great number of his followers across party lines into the progressive party.JAMB Portal

He told the decampees that their integration into the APC was effective the very moment they tore membership cards of their former political parties, assuring that the state leadership will involve them in the activities of the party in the Ohafia LGA and the state as a whole.
