Price of Cement in Nigeria Today

The price of cement varies according to months, type of cements (brand / colour), location of purchase as well as quantity.

That is, a cost of cement in Lagos will not be the same with the cost of cement in Benin City Nigeria. The difference in the prices now depend on the distance from the factory. Of course, the transporters will make out profit from the transportation.

Also, the price of normal 50KG cement will be different from the price of pop cement in Nigeria as well as the white cement.

  • Dangote cement – N3,700,
  • Lafarge cement – N3,600,
  • Ibeto cement – N3,600,
  • Wapco cement – N3,500
  • Sokoto cement – N3,400

Recently this year, the Cement Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (CMAN) have raised prices of brands by N600 per bag in factories, including additional N100 cost for haulage. This has increased retail prices from N2,300 to N3,500 depending on location

As at the time of publishing this post, a bag of cement is sold at the rate of N2,300 to N3,500. Like I said ealier price of cement in Nigeria depends on the location. But currently, the price has increased from what was sold before. But don’t allow anyone to sell cement to you for more than N3,800. That will be too exorbitant.

Invariably, according to The Guardian market research. In locations such as; Egbeda, Igando, Ogba, Agege, Sango, and Ikeja in Lagos area, a bag of cement now sells between N3, 600, N3, 700, N3, 800, and N2, 900 across all brands such as Dangote Cement, Lafarge cement, Ibeto cement, Wapco cement and Sokoto cement.
