“Burna Boy is the biggest fraud and most uninspiring artiste” – TV presenter Lerin

She accused Burna Boy of riding the wave of international prominence and profiting from Afrobeats’ global popularity, only to criticise the genre’s alleged shallowness.

According to Lerin Nicodemus, Burna Boy’s actions made him appear hypocritical, as he established his brand on the basis of Pan-African activism inspired by the renowned Fela Kuti.

Nicodemus proceeded to label Burna Boy a “fraud” for allegedly failing to implement the Pan-African principles he frequently referenced in his music and public demeanour.

She noted that, despite presenting himself as an advocate for social change, Burna Boy has remained mute or mocked societal issues during sociopolitical crises in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.JAMB Result

The television presenter continued to criticise Burna Boy’s advocacy. Nicodemus compared him unfavourably to his contemporaries Wizkid and Davido, whom she asserts actively support Afrobeats and promote emerging artists.

She accused Burna Boy of condemning others at every opportunity, in stark contrast to Wizkid and Davido’s stance of support.
