Constructing world’s biggest billboard will put Nigeria on world map – indigenous advertising co.

Constructing the world’s biggest billboard in the Federal Capital Territory FCT, will put Nigeria on the world map – says Chief Executive Officer of Lona Global Resources Limited, Mr. Idoko Ilonah, an indigenous outdoor advertising company.

According to him, if the Federal Capital Territory FCT will truncate Nigeria’s bid of building world’s biggest billboard, by refusing to give approval, then Nigeria will have to forfeit itself of the largest LED board in the globe.

He said that Nigeria’s bid to build the world’s biggest billboard is a good development hence, Nigeria could not afford to truncate such investment and appealed to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) authority to restore approval previously granted to construct the billboard.

In a Save Our Soul message to President Muhammadu Buhari and other well-meaning Nigerians, has Ilonah appealed that the authorities at the FCT be prevailed upon to restore the approval previously granted them to construct the biggest LED advertising board in the world.

Ilonah holds the record of building the biggest billboard in Africa in  2016 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Road, Abuja by Lugbe Interchange. He said he had expended about N800 million on the construction of the world’s largest LED board along the Airport Expressway/ Wawa (Centenary District) before he was ordered to stop work. He said he was granted approval by the FCT authorities that was why he commence the project.

Hear him; “I was shocked when the FCT Minister ordered stoppage of the construction of the world’s biggest outdoor based on a petition written by the Centenary City PLC. My company had expended about N800 million on design and fabrication of steel and other items before the project was halted. I am still paying interest on the N300 million loan facility procured to kick-start the project which the Guinness Book of Records was already tracking.

“The capitulation by the FCT had put me in a precarious situation by making me to default on an agreement with a telecommunications company which pre-paid N300 million as the first advertiser on the historic billboard.

“I seek help from President Buhari and other concerned Nigerians to intervene in order to enable me to revive the project, as this will help to realise the desire of putting the country on the world map through the construction of the largest LED board in the globe’, llonah said.
